ITEC Certificate in Make-up Course

The course is provided to students wishing to learn the basic principles related to beauty and make up.

Post-graduation the course can lead to work in make up counters, chemists or carrying out wedding assignments. The course could also provide the means for the student to embark on a career as a make up artist before acquiring a complete make-up artistry qualification.

No makeup knowledge is expected as students are taken from the very basics all the way through more advanced techniques.

The ITEC certificate in make up course is provided as a part-time evening (Tuesday or Thursday 18:00 - 21:00) or as a Saturday (10:00 - 17:00) course, attendance set to one day per week.

* Cosmetic science
* Corrective, day, evening make up
* Special occasion, bridal make up
* Fashion make up
* Affect of light on make up/photographical make-up

Our make-up college offers the Certificate in ITEC make-up graduates work experience assisting the Fashion, Theatre and Media Make-up students as well as assisting in weddings, debs and in some caseswe also offer work placement . Apart from all that, the college also offers new graduates 3 months FREE advertising on the main MakeupFabLicious site to get them started in the Industry.

The course is very intense and fast-paced, requiring up to 5 hours of study outside of the Classroom. Students are also advised that extra practical work is required at home, perhaps carrying out make-up tasks for family and friends.

In order to complete the course, students must also sit a theoretical and practical examination,as well as create a 5 photos portfolio, called Case studies for purposes of ITEC. Coursework also forms part of the examination.
